After winning two of three matches this past weekend in the Concordia tournament at Selma, Ala., the Tennessee Temple University volleyball team blitzed visiting Oakwood 3-0 (25-8, 25-14, 25-10) on Monday. Kiara Govan (JR/Houston, TX) had 23 assists and Amy Keokanlaya (SR/Horn Lake, MS) had 19 assists for the Lady Crusaders (6-8), who got eight kills, eight digs and four aces from Naomi Posada (JR/Midland, TX) and seven kills and nine digs from Lydia Vick (SR/Moulton,AL). Victoria Smith (SR/Odessa,TX) and Posada had 11 and nine kills in the tournament win over Point, when Kovan had 28 assists and Shatoya Medford (SR/Dallas, TX) and Vick each had 25 digs, Medford with five solo blocks. Medford had 12 kills, 23 digs and five solo blocks and Smith had 12 kills and eight solos in a 3-2 defeat of Concordia, while Govan had 42 assists and 20 digs and Keokanlaya, Posada and Vick had 34, 25 and 23 digs. They lost 3-1 to LaGrange, but Posada had 16 kills and 31 digs, Medford had 33 digs and seven solo blocks, Vick and Keokanlya had 23 and 20 digs and Govan had 31 assists. Celeste Walton (FR/Prattville, AL) had matches with five and four solo blocks.
