Volleyball - Mon, Oct. 27, 2014
Saturday the Lady Crusaders volleyball team hosted a tri-match with Crown College and Truett McConnell. Starting off the day against Crown College, the Lady Crusaders won in a 3-0 sweep with the scores of 25-6; 25-20; 26-9.  Seniors, Victoria Smith and Lydia Vick both had 6 kills and Naomi Posada added 6 to the total. Freshman, Cassidy Ingram gave a solid performance with 5 kills. 
As the day continued, the Crusaders honored their four seniors, Amy Keokanlaya, Lydia Vick, Victoria Smith, and Shatoya Medford,  before the match against Truett-McConnell.  The rematch went four sets, and the Crusaders finished the day with two wins with the scores of 25-15;19-25;25-22;25-18. The seniors put on a show for their last home game. Victoria Smith had 13 kills and 3 solo blocks. Lydia Vick led the Crusaders offense with 15 kills and included 20 digs. Shatoya Medford led the crusaders defense with 23 digs, 3 solo blocks, 2 assisted blocks an included 5 kills. Amy Keokanlaya added 18 digs. Kiara Govan had 40 assists and 15 digs. Sisten Lipsey followed Medford's lead with 22 digs. The Crusaders advanced their record to 21-11. Monday they travel to take on Toccoa Falls, and Tuesday the Crusaders begin their journey to New York to take part in the USCAA Nationals.
