After a weird 7-6 loss Wednesday at the University of Pikeville, the Tennessee Temple baseball team stayed in Kentucky and got in two games -- both wins -- Thursday of its early-week snowed-out series at Alice Lloyd. The Crusaders (14-11) won 11-3 as Caden Shadrick went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored, Josh Thomas went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Brandon Blome went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Brett Bartley and Sean Leitstein each had two hits and an RBI. Hunter Giles pitched a complete game with six strikeouts, allowing two earned runs. Then Dylan Massengill threw a three-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 3-0 win in which Bradley Grant was 2-for-3 and Leitstein, Ryan Bruce and Trey Hill drove in runs. In Wednesday's game, Massengill was in for the save with Temple leading 6-3 when the center fielder slipped on the wet field on what would've been the final out of the game but became a winning inside-the-park grand slam.
