The Tennessee Temple Lady Crusaders traveled to Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN on Wednesday 3rd February for the second match-up between these two teams this season. The Lady Crusaders were looking to improve on their 7-12 record, whilst the Redhawks (12-8), were hoping to continue their winning ways.

The Lady Crusaders got off to a slow start with unforced errors and James getting in early foul trouble. The Redhawks capitalized on this to start the game 10-0. The Crusaders stepped up their defensive intensity resulting in back-to-back three pointers by Charles and Lovett, bringing the margin to 3 points. However, the Redhawks fought back to take the lead into the half 21-33. In the second half, the Lady Crusaders took better care of the ball and managed to get the game within 7 points with strong post play by Wells, but the Redhawks were ready to protect their home court. They shot 67% from 3 point land in the second half, and shot 86% from the free throw line on the game compared to the Lady Crusaders 50%. The final score for the game was 73-45.

The Lady Crusaders were led by Stephanie Lovett with 12 points, shooting 3 for 5 from the 3 point line. Wells finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Next game is on Tuesday 9th February at home against Voorhees College at 7pm.
