In a three game set with #5 North Greenville University The Crusaders displayed great potential and still some signs of youth.Game one Friday saw a stellar pitching performance from NGU Ace Drew Provence who no hit Temple through 7 innings, in the 8th Senior Jeremy McKay's sharp grounder up the middle foiled the no hit effort as the NGU middle infields diving efforts proved a fraction too late at first base.  Temple was able to plate two runs off the visitors bullpen in the 8th and 9th innings to only fall short 7-2.   Saturday saw a great effort by TTU Senior Kyle Welch (Naples FL) who held the NG hitters to only three runs, For Temple freshman Christian Pryor swung a hot stick going 3 for 3 with  the game winning RBI late in the opener.  The nightcap was a tale of thrill and agony for a team that has fought all year for respect and victory.  In what turned out to be the most exciting baseball of the day ended in heartbreak for the youthful Crusaders who took a 4-3 lead into the top of the 7th only to see misplayed balls lead to an eventual 6-4 loss.  Highlights were Senior Rob Micintire with a two run bomb to the farthest part of the outfield over the menacing wall at hallowed Engel stadium, Tyler Cross plated a run early and pitched well only to take the loss on miscues.  Coach Whitley noted that Justin Crews and Lee Wilburn  played well in a defensive and offensive effort and Sophomore Jon Clayton played solid in game two Saturday morning.
