First year Head Coach Brac Brady got the hardest part out of the way by winning his first game as the new coach of the Crusaders Basketball team. The final score of the game was 56-45, but maybe the most impressive stat of the game was that the visiting team, Bryan College, didn't have anyone scoring in double figures. The Crusaders never trailed in the game although they were without their Team Captain and three year starting point guard Jarrett Smith who suffered a broken hand just days before the opener. Weedlens Beauvil led all scorers with 14 points, shooting 50% for the night. The other top scorer was transfer freshman Rashaud Bell who totaled 13 points. The Crusaders will take their 1-0 record on the road to arch-rival Lee University this Thursday at 7:00 EST.
