 Tennessee Temple handed the North Alabama men's basketball team (NCAA D2) its first loss of the season Saturday afternoon, rallying for a 71-68 victory over the Lions at Flowers Hall. With the loss, UNA falls to 8-1 on the season the Crusaders move to 7-4. 
 
UNA had trouble scoring down the stretch as the Crusaders closed the game on a 15-4 run. TTU held the Lions to only a single field goal over the final 7:17 of play. The lone basket from the floor came with 10 seconds remaining when a three-pointer by Nathan Spehr cut the TTU lead to 70-68.
 
After the Crusaders (7-4) hit one of two free throws on the ensuing possession, UNA missed a pair of desperation three-point attempts as time expired.
 
Four players reached double figures in scoring for TTU,  Aron Walker scored 16 points 
, P.J. Whittaker and Hampton Mack had 14 each, the three also totaling 20 rebounds for Temple. Also Weedlens Beauvil had 10 points. 
The Crusaders will be back in action December 17 when they go back to the state of Alabama to play Alabama-Huntsville who is rank 3rd in the latest coaches poll for NCAA D2. Tip off is at 8:00 EST.
