• At Winona Lake, Ind., Tennessee Temple proved true to its No. 7 seed in the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I tournament, rebounding from two losses to beat eighth seed Roberts Wesleyan 80-61 in the seventh-place game Friday afternoon.

Elliot Johnson had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Crusaders (23-13), while Rashaud Bell scored 15 points, PJ Whittaker and Hampton Mack added 14 apiece, Weedlens Beauvil tallied 12 and Corey Sanders had eight assists and four steals. Devin Grimes had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Rochester, N.Y., team.

Shorter plays Oklahoma Christian today for the championship.
