Phillips was solid on the rubber for Tennessee Temple Lady Crusaders. She allowed no earned runs over five innings. Phillips gave up five hits while walking one and striking out none.
Keaton Kirk recorded the win for Union University. She tossed seven innings of shutout ball. Kirk struck out 11, walked two and gave up one hit.
Union University never trailed after scoring three runs in the second on an error and a two-run single by Alex Williams.
