It is with a heavy heart that we bring you this news.  

Friday there was a tragic automobile accident near Dalton, GA that took the life of Jarrett Williams. Jarrett was a freshman student who had come to TTU to compete on the track and field team in the discus event.

Jarrett was on his way home after attending a leadership meeting for Campus Church when the accident occurred. Jarrett was an outstanding person that exemplified the kind of student that we love to see come to TTU. He will be greatly missed among us. We especially want to pray for his family in the midst of the indescribable loss they are experiencing.

Visitation will take place tomorrow, Monday 23rd September, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA. The funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday 24th September at the funeral home. The family is asking that instead of flowers, that donations be made to a scholarship fund in memory of Jarrett.
