Senior Kanetra Gonzalez led all scorers with 17
Tennessee Temple University dropped their second game of the young season today. The Crusaders lost  65 -49 on the road against Virginia Intermont College .  
After opening the game 11-0 and  leading for most of the first half, a late rally by the home team saw the lady crusaders go in to the break trailing by 2, with score at 25-23.

The second saw an energized VIC team come out and open the game to as many as 21 as they shot 60% from the 3pt line. Temple turned up the defense to go on a late run cutting the game to 3pts with a 3 minutes left on the clock.  Good FT shooting and a solid performance from freshman Kayla Orrick (who ended with a team high 16 points Meant VIC pulled out the win.

 Senior, Kanetra Gonzalez  led all scorers with 17 points and Anshel Cooper had all 11 of her points in the second half. Mcghee chipped in with 8, Charles and James ended with 5 each, Riggs finished with 2 and Wilson rounded out the scoring with 1.

Next up for the Lady Crusaders is  a trip to play local rival  Tennessee Wesleyan College on  the 9th.
