The Tennessee Temple University  women's basketball team lost it's seventh straight game on Tuesday, registering a 61-51 Loss against the visiting Reinhardt University Lady Crusaders at McGilvray Gymnasium.

Poor shooting from the floor by Temple enabled Reinhardt to lead 27-11 at halftime. The Lady Eagles upped their advantage to 17 points (30-13) early in the second half before the Lady Crusaders trimmed the lead to eight points on three occasions, the last time with 33 seconds left in the contest. Two late free throws by Reinhardt sealed the win.

Both teams struggled with their shooting from the field in the opening half, especially TTU at just 14.3 percent (3-of-21). In the second half, however, Temple made 53.6 percent (15-of-28) and the Lady Eagles heated up to 52.6 percent (10-of-19). The guests outrebounded Tennessee Temple 36-32.

Anshel Cooper led a balanced Tennessee Temple attack with a team-high 14 points off the bench while Amber Charles scored nine points four steal and dished out four assists. James and Gonzalez ended the contest with seven a piece.

The Lady Crusaders drop to 1-7. Tennessee Temple travels to play the Milligan College and Union College this Friday and Saturday at the Union College Classic.
