This past weekend Volleyball was in action down in Pensacola, FL at the Pensacola Christian tourney.  1st year Head Coach Latonia Allen and her team went 2-2 in the tourney after losing their last game vs the host school in the championship match.  After the weekend of matches Coach Allen had this to say, "Communication was much improved this weekend. Shatoya Medford finally started playing the way we see her produce in practice. We still need to learn to finish each set, and push through our mistakes."

The lady Crusaders would stay on the road to travel to play Judson University a day later to complete the five day road trip. At Judson they would get the win in 4 sets. Match Totals for that were as follows:  Natasha dos Santos Ferreti with 17 Assists, Rachel Binkley with 5 aces, PJ Sexton with 12 digs, and Kourtney Chorman with 14 kills.  The Lady Crusaders will return to action Thursday September 20 as they host Toccoa Falls College, Match starts at 6:30 EST.

Noted: Shatoya Medford was nominated for NCCAA and Tennessee Sportswriters Player of the Week with a stat line of: 42 Digs, 6 solo Blocks, 2 Serve aces, and 34 Kills.
