A cold shooting night proved costly for the Crusader women as they fell on the road at Southern Polytechnic State 79-49. The Crusaders shot only 28% from the floor including only 3 of 13 from behind the three point line in the loss. 

The contest remained close in the first half with Temple trailing by nine 36-27 at the break. The Crusaders could not turn the momentum in the second half as Ray Donee' Jones led Southern Poly with 18 points and Dione Parks added 17 for Southern Poly in the victory.  Courtney Atkinson led the Crusaders with 13 points and all of her scoring came in the first half.

The Crusaders are back in action Saturday when they travel to Oakwood.
