The Tennessee Temple University Women's Basketball team fell to Palm Beach Atlantic University Monday night 69-48 in an NCCAA South Regional semi-final contest. The loss ends the Crusaders season with a record of 18-10. Ten first half turnovers proved costly for the Crusaders as Palm Beach Atlantic jumped out to a 35-21 halftime lead.

The Crusaders came out with a strong defensive effort early in the second half holding Palm Beach Atlantic scoreless for the first six minutes closing the lead to seven at 35-28. Palm Beach Atlantic came right back with a 7-0 run to make the lead 42-28 with 12:53 left in the second half. Palm Beach Atlantic remained in control the rest of the way stretching the lead to 57-37 with 4:50 left in the contest and cruising to the 69-48 final score.

Temple was never able to find a rhythm offensively shooting under 25% from the floor for the contest. Temple did force Palm Beach Atlantic into 22 turnovers but in the end a balanced scoring attack which included 44% shooting from the floor by Palm Beach Atlantic proved to be too much for the Crusaders.

Temple was led in scoring by Elisa Hardy who in her final game as a Crusader poured in 17 points including 4-9 from behind the 3 point line. Courtney Atkinson also chipped in 14 on 5 for 11 shooting from the floor.
